A freezing rain Ontario warning has been given for Southern Ontario that is anticipated to shift into the area on Thursday.
Environment Canada’s caution spreads from London to Barrie and Peterborough and east to Kingston.
The alerts are for the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton, Guelph, and Kitchener. Freezing rain is expected to start in the morning or afternoon depending on the region, reports Environment Canada.
An accumulation of a few millimeters is possible in the untreated area.
Global News meteorologist Anthony Farnell said slush will begin falling between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.
Thursday in the Greater Toronto Area as temperatures approaches freezing. Light snowfall is predicted that can turn into a rain as climate changes.
