In an entire discussion with ANI today, the Indian Army head stated, “The recruitment procedure is going to begin shortly. Within the next two days, the notification will be issued on the official website http://joinindianarmy.nic.in. After that the Army Recruitment Organization will announce a detailed programme.
Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary, who heads the Indian Air Force, said, “It is heartening to announce that the upper age limit (for recruitment) has been revised to 23 years. This will benefit the youth. The recruitment process for the Indian Air Force will begin from June 24.” The recruitment of ‘Agniveers’ will begin in the next 90 days and the first batch will be ready by July 2023.

The Defence Ministry on Friday said that as a result of the launch of the Agneepath scheme, the entry age for all new recruits in the armed forces has been fixed at 17 1/2 – 21 years. The Defence Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the Agneepath plan has been designed to enable the youth profile of the armed forces. It will provide opportunities to the youth who are willing to wear army uniforms by attracting young talent from the society who are in tune with contemporary technological trends and can become skilled, disciplined and an inspiration to the people in the society.
