T20 fans are excited to watch Brazil and Argentina play in football. Similarly, T20 cricket fans are eager to see the match between Pakistan and India. The upcoming T20 World Cup is going to happen in Australia coming October. The India and Pakistan match shall be played on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Stadium. However, the ICC (International Cricket Council) has already started selling the tickets. All the tickets are sold out in just some hours. Two hundred thousand ICC World Cup tickets have been already sold out.
Among these, 60 thousand tickets were sold just for the India and Pakistan cricket match alone. Other tickets for the World Cup finals matches and Australia’s group stage matches versus England and New Zealand were also sold very well.
India and Pakistan have finished 6 times in the T20 World Cup before. These two countries will meet for the 7th time in the T20 World Cup 2022. To date, India has beaten Pakistan five times out of six matches in cricket. Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets in the last T20 World Cup that was held in the UAE last year. It was Pakistan’s first victory against India in World Cup History.
For the first time, Australia is hosting the 20 over World Cup Game. India and Pakistan are in the same group in this World Cup game. Further countries in group 2 shall be Bangladesh, South Africa, and two qualifiers. Group 1 shall need qualifiers, including New Zealand, Australia, Afghanistan, and England. All countries will play 5 by 5 games in the group. The global qualifier game is starting this February and Nepal is also competing.
Similar to the last edition, this time also, the West Indies and Sri Lanka are out of the top eight, that’s why they will play a qualifying game. The top 8 countries in the World Twenty20 went direct to the Super 12. However, all the top eight countries must play qualifying matches.
