The Russian Foreign Ministry, issuing a release Monday, has called Germany’s ambassador to Moscow and announced a non-grata to 40 employees of Germany’s diplomatic institution in Russia.
‘There has been strong opposition before the head of the German diplomatic mission in Moscow over the german government’s hostile decision to expel Russian diplomats, ‘the ministry has said. A total of one hundred Germans are said to be affected by the cabinet decision. German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbok said the Russian move was not justified, even if it was anticipated.
