U.S. President Joe Biden has accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of preparing chemical weapons use in Ukraine. The U.S. Defense Ministry has blamed the Pentagon for conducting a blindfolded attack by Russian troops, saying it would help gather evidence of “war crimes” in Ukraine.
President Biden’s statement comes as Russian troops are targeting areas of strategic importance in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodmir Jelenski has again called for direct talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He has said he is ready to abandon plans to become a member of Kyiv in Nato.
Utah, the capital of Kyiv, has been reported again for a curfew until Wednesday morning. The curfew has been announced after the mayor alerted that Russian troops could still shell more in the capital. Russia has summoned the U.S. envoy with the latest comments from Biden.
